Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to read about us and consider us. You are very brave in making this difficult decision and we assure you that we will do our best to provide your baby with the love and support we know you want him or her to have. Let me tell you a little about us.

Grant : I am 39 years old and grew up in a large family. I am the fourth of 11 children, 6 boys and 5 girls. I grew up in South Louisiana, a small town called Centerville.I am in the construction business, building houses for investment to sell or rent. I grew up next to cane fields and me and my brothers would play outside until dark running through the cane, fishing, hunting and for me , reading. I love to read and grew up in the era of Star Wars and video games. I grew up reading Tolkien and CS Lewis, playing piano and playing with my brothers.
My family continues to grow, and I currently have 43 nieces and nephews. Christmas at my parents home is always fun. Watching all the children enjoy the Holiday, opening presents and eating! My family loves to get together for Sunday lunch and of course the Holidays!
My parents have been married for 43 years my mom has always been a home maker and since my dad retired when he was 42 he's been writing. He is very interested in helping people, he does free financial counseling and writes pamphlets on various religious subjects. One of my sisters is a nun at The Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL, 7 are married with children and two are not yet married.

Rhiannon: I am 30 yrs old and have one sister who is 7 years older, she is married and has 6 children. 2 boys and 4 girls. My childhood was wonderful! I grew up in a little town in South Central Louisiana called Iota, the name of the town tells you how small it was! I loved growing up there, everyone knew everyone and you didn't lock your doors, ever. As a child I loved to read! I would read so much I would get myself in trouble!
Today I stay at home and sometimes help Grant with finish work on his houses. I play and have taught piano and love to create things!
My parents have been married for 37 years, my mother has always been a stay at home mom and my dad works in the oil field.
For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a Mother! Even in high school, when people would ask what I wanted to do when I graduated I would respond, Get married and be a mom!

We will be married for 11 years and have been trying for that amount of time to get pregnant. Our infertility is unexplained. We met when I was 18 and Grant 27, dated for 4 months before he asked me to marry him and were engaged for another 5 months before our wedding. We always talked about having children while we were dating and couldn't wait to start having babies! Family is so important to us!

We had a failed adoption in April of 2009, after having the baby with us for 11 days the birth mother changed her mind. This was devastating for us but it didn't' deter us in wanting to adopt. If anything it solidified for us just how much we could love our child! Those were the most precious moments we have ever shared and it brought us even closer as a couple.

We had another failed adoption in February of 2010, we again were saddened but believe that a baby is out there for us to love forever. We pray daily for the child that will come to us one day and know that it is in God's hands.

We were blessed to be chose to adopt a beautiful baby girl in July of 2010 and love her so much! We are so happy to be a family and are excited to grow our family even more.

We both were raised Roman Catholic and our faith is very important to us. We go to Mass twice a week and say the rosary together daily. Our faith helped us handle the years of infertility and the pain of the failed adoption. We know that God has a purpose for us in life and it's our desire to follow Him in everything.

We love to travel and go to Walt Disney World every year, the only time we have gone alone was on our honeymoon, every year we bring someone, from Grant's younger siblings to our many nieces and nephews. We have become the family's babysitters and always enjoy having the children to our house.

We are so excited about the day we are finally able to have a family and start being parents and we thank you for considering us.
